Arrival Information

Trier is easy to reach by train (www.bahn.de). From the main train station, it takes about 15-20 minutes to reach the Study Center by foot (traveling through Trier's pedestrian-only zone).

Trier is also easy to reach by automobile by taking the A1. Near to the Karl Marx Study Center there are, as a rule, a variety of parking options in the city’s park houses (look for the city’s parking control system). While free-of-charge parking places are generally available, these usually require a longer travel time by foot to the Center. Those who have booked a reservation at one of the city’s hotels, should inquire about parking options available in the hotel’s parking lot, which are generally free-of-charge.
